Throughout 2019 and 2020 Lota State School underwent significant refurbishment and upgrading of its school buildings and facilities. The school now boasts:
- A school office area upstairs.
- Three refurbished double storey buildings containing general learning areas and break out rooms for small groups.
- A refurbished low set building containing a library, computer lab, and undercover area.
- A general learning area demountable building for specialist lessons.
- A new building that is now dedicated to two lower years learning areas.
- Two covered playground areas, a sandpit, stage area, plenty of handball courts and green spaces.
- A full size school oval with footy and soccer goals, and tennis and basketball courts.
Lota State School also boasts being completely air conditioned due to the fundraising and ongoing donations made by our amazing P&C.
Lota State School is well maintained and cared for by our Business Manager Mrs Karen Wheeler, our exceptional groundsman Mr Andy Kluska, and assisted by a crew of dedicated cleaners Mr Robert Gray and Mrs Jo Edwards.
Continual improvements are being made every year to maintain a high quality of facilities within the school.
