Throughout 2019 and 2020 Lota State School underwent significant refurbishment and upgrading of its school buildings and facilities. The school now boasts:
- A school office area upstairs.
- Three refurbished double storey buildings containing general learning areas and break out rooms for small groups.
- A refurbished low set building containing a library, computer lab, and undercover area.
- A general learning area demountable building.
- A building that is now dedicated to two lower years learning areas.
- Two covered playground areas, a sandpit, stage area, plenty of handball courts and green spaces.
- A full size school oval with footy and soccer goals, two junior soccer fields and tennis and basketball courts.
Lota State School also boasts being completely air conditioned due to the fundraising and ongoing donations made by our amazing P&C.
Lota State School is well maintained and cared for by our Business Manager Mrs Wheeler, our friendly Administration Officer Mrs Ryan, our exceptional groundsman Mr Kluska, and assisted by a crew of dedicated cleaners Mr Gray and Mr Towers.
Continual improvements are being made every year to maintain a high quality of facilities within the school.
