The Language Other Than English (LOTE) at Lota State School is French. It is part of the school program from Prep to Year 6. The aim of our LOTE program is to introduce students to the French language and culture. The course is primarily an oral course with an emphasis on the development of language proficiency in speaking and listening. There may be short projects and assignments involving writing and reading.
