School. I am very excited to be the Principal of what is an amazing place of learning for all students. Our school offers your family a happy, safe and supportive learning environment and is very proud to be part of the responsive public education system of Queensland.
Our school plays a significant role in the lives of children as they grow and develop. In partnership with parents and other members of the community, our school provides students with a world class education that equips them with the knowledge, skills and attributes needed to be successful in the future.
Lota State School is a small school established in 1952 providing education for primary age students from Prep to Year 6. Located in the beautiful bayside suburb of Lota, just a 20 minute drive from Brisbane CBD, the school has an extensive history within the local area. You are invited to join with us to help develop the best possible education during what we trust will be a long and fruitful partnership.

Our extensive extra-curricular program are unparalleled in the Wynnum-Manly area with opportunities for all of our students from Prep to Year 6 to explore and develop their talents in the academic, sporting and performing arts arenas. A signature program of our school is the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program, food education that teaches students to grow, harvest, prepare and share fresh, seasonal, delicious food.
